Lesson Rates: Rimshots is a music school, therefore all charges are based on a monthly tuition rate of $122 per month- September through June. Tuition payments are due 6 days after the first lesson date of the month. Cash and checks only please.
Lesson Perks: Within this fee each student will receive:
A weekly 1/2 hour lesson
A personalized curriculum organized around the student's individual needs and goals
Purchasing advice for large equipment and/or instruments
Rental drums, mallet instruments and even timpani are available
Hands on playing experience on all instruments offered
An annual recital is offered for performance experience
Percussion ensemble is also offered for group experience
Cancellation: If a student must cancel a lesson he, she, or the parent/guardian must contact the studio by 2pm of the lesson date. Attendance is taken with each lesson and opportunities are offered for make-up lessons. The year is divided into two semesters:
semester 1- September through January 1st
semester 2- January 2nd through end of 3rd week of June.
All lessons must be made up by the expiration date of each semester which is usually one week following the end of each semester. Any cancelled lessons not made up by these deadlines are forfeit.
Bad Weather: Since all students drive to Rimshots, the inclement weather policy is determined by the student! If you feel that the roads are too dangerous for driving, then cancel your lesson (the 2pm deadline is not in effect for snow days). If you are experienced driving in the snow/ice, then please come to your lesson. Mr. Morrison will be at the studio regardless.
Holidays: Rimshots will remain open for all school and government holidays except for the following days:
Halloween Night
Thanksgiving Vacation (as scheduled by Howard County Schools)
Christmas Vacation (as scheduled by Howard County Schools)
Easter Vacation (Holy Week through Easter Sunday)
Memorial Day Weekend
